About Mio Hishinuma (菱沼 未央)
Mio Hishinuma is a Japanese food specialist and registered dietitian who collaborated with CHIPS JAPAN on its Bread and Rice tableware project. The collection considers how everyday dishes can complement both Japanese and Western meals, highlighting the relationship between food, tableware and daily rituals.
Her food-focused design perspective brings an appreciation of everyday dining and thoughtful presentation to the collection. The Bread and Rice collection has connections with Mino-area pottery production.
