Elevate your tea ritual with this handmade Japanese matcha bowl (chawan), thoughtfully crafted for both everyday enjoyment and traditional tea ceremonies. This ceramic tea bowl features a vivid green base beautifully complemented by a greenish-blue glaze near the rim — evoking the natural flow of earth and water. The organic tones and textures make it a calming and grounding addition to your matcha practice.
Each piece is shaped and glazed by hand, resulting in subtle variations that embody the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi — celebrating the unique beauty of imperfection. With its slightly asymmetrical form and earthy palette, this artisan chawan invites mindfulness and authenticity into every tea session.
Perfectly sized for preparing matcha with a bamboo whisk (chasen), this handcrafted tea bowl offers a comfortable grip and ideal depth for creating a smooth, frothy blend. Whether you're curating your own matcha ceremony set, searching for a thoughtful gift for tea lovers, or collecting Japanese handmade ceramics, this bowl offers a blend of tradition and contemporary charm.
