Infuse your home with a sense of peace and artisanal warmth. This exquisite Chigiri Washi Cat Figurine is a masterpiece of traditional Japanese paper art, handcrafted by skilled artisans at the renowned Ryukodo studio in Kyoto, Japan. Every cat carries the legacy of centuries-old craftsmanship, offering a soft, organic texture and a soulful presence that machine-made decor simply cannot replicate.
The Art of Ryukodo & Chigiri-e
Founded in the heart of Kyoto, Ryukodo is celebrated worldwide for its high-quality seasonal gifts and Washi paper creations. This figurine utilizes the traditional Chigiri-e technique—a meticulous process where artisans hand-tear washi paper to create soft, feathered edges before layering them onto the form. This time-intensive craft gives each cat its gentle, "fuzzy" appearance and life-like expression.
