Yohei Konishi (小西 洋平) is a celebrated ceramic artist, highly esteemed in the world of Tokoname Yaki pottery. With a deep passion for traditional Japanese ceramics, Konishi-san has dedicated his life to perfecting his craft. Born in 1941 in Tokoname City, he was immersed in the art of ceramics from a young age, being the son of the esteemed potter Konishi Yusen I and brother of Konishi Yusen II.
His works are characterized by meticulous attention to detail, innovative designs, and exceptional quality. Each piece he creates is a testament to his artistry and dedication, making his teapots sought after by collectors and tea enthusiasts worldwide. This teapot is not only a functional item but also a piece of art that captures the essence of Japanese pottery tradition.
Konishi-san's teapot-making techniques have been designated as Intangible Cultural Properties. His accolades include numerous awards and exhibitions, both in Japan and internationally.
