The Yachiyo Kiln" inherits the craftsmanship of "Edo Glass," designated as a traditional craft by the Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry. Glassware produced from this kiln, bearing the name "Yachiyo Kiln," embodies the essence of the Shimosha-no-Kuni region, renowned for its quality and beauty.
Crafted by skilled artisans, these glasswares are meticulously created by wrapping fine colored glass rods and gold leaf around transparent glass, using delicate techniques and manual labor. The resulting glossy pieces vividly capture the essence of Edo's changing seasons. Scenes like cooling off by the river in summer or the enchanting sight of fireflies dancing in the evening dusk are artfully depicted on these glasswares.
As handmade items, slight variations in shape, dimensions, weight, capacity, and color mixing may occur, adding to the uniqueness and charm of each piece.
