Description
Crafted from Tokoname ware, this teapot is recognized for its rich red color that stems from the use of red clay. Its wide base enables the tea leaves to unfurl and release their full flavor potential. Maintaining the natural appeal of clay, this teapot boasts a polished and smooth texture along with a minimalist design, refined over generations for an elegant ambiance. The airtight lid of Tokoname Teapot is celebrated for its secure fit, ensuring a slow and consistent infusion of the tea's flavor. Tokoname ware is Japan's largest producer of teapots, located in the southwest of Aichi Prefecture, and is part of the esteemed "Rokkoyo" ceramic production areas. The smooth and beautiful earthenware, fired at high temperatures, has been integral in the tea culture and daily life of Japan. The "Sasame"/"Ceramesh" strainer, created with new ceramic technology and intricate molds, guarantees minimal clogging and a smooth tea-pouring experience. This teapot, with its size and ceramic strainer, is an ideal match for brewing Gyokuro, a type of refined green tea, for a fragrant and authentic tea-drinking experience.
