Matcha Lover
Worried about food safety

Before I purchased, I thought that the dark specks were just specks in the clay. It turns out that they are holes in the ceramic. You can run your finger over them and understand they are holes. The tiny holes you see in the outer portion of the mug are throughout the interior, which comes into contact with the liquid you are consuming. Those tiny holes soon become black, even after rigorously washing them, likely because they are full of bacteria/food particles/mold. This is a really bad design and/or glazing process, particularly for an object that is intended to come into contact with food/beverages. Otherwise, the visual design and pink color is very cute.
