Rinka Japanese Dinnerware by Kaneko Kohyo
Crafted from true porcelain, the Rinka series offers the exceptional durability of fine china while beautifully mimicking the warm, rustic texture of traditional earthenware. This unique, vintage-inspired aesthetic is achieved using original molds hand-sculpted from real clay, making each piece durable enough for modern, everyday use without sacrificing its handmade charm.
Built for modern living, each piece undergoes a rigorous two-step firing process. After an initial 800°C bisque fire and meticulous hand-glazing, a final 1,300°C firing ensures the porcelain is exceptionally durable, and fully dishwasher and microwave safe.
The White Rinka collection by Kaneko Kohyo brings a softer, more sculptural approach to everyday Japanese dinnerware. Crafted in Toki, Gifu Prefecture, in Japan’s historic Mino ware region, each piece features Rinka’s signature gently scalloped rim, inspired by the shape of flower petals.
Our current White Rinka selection includes coordinating plates, bowls, mugs, and cups in the collection’s classic warm-white glaze. Designed to work beautifully together for everyday dining, the understated shape complements Japanese, Asian, and Western dishes.
