About Yutaka Tsuzuki (都築 豊)
Yutaka Tsuzuki is a Tokoname potter associated with Daikōji-gama (大興寺窯), a studio producing Japanese tea ware. Japanese maker profiles describe his training in Tokoname and Kyoto and his return to Tokoname to develop his ceramic practice.
His work is rooted in the local kyusu tradition, where shape, balance and ease of pouring contribute to the experience of tea preparation. Great Zakka’s catalog includes a Tokoname kyusu attributed to Tsuzuki.
