Lucky Cat Daruma has been said to have the power to ward off evil spirits and disease since ancient times. Additionally, due to its shape, it is likened to the phrase "fall down seven times, stand up eight" and represents resilience. Today, it is also popular as a lucky charm, similar to the beckoning cat. The "Lucky Cat Daruma" is a beckoning cat that takes on the appearance of a Daruma doll, and even without its hand raised, it is believed to invite good fortune through the blessings of the Daruma. There are various color variations available, including the classic red and pink with cherry blossom patterns, which is perfect for congratulating someone on passing an exam.

"Yakushigama" is a product brand of the ceramic workshop Chugaitoen in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, a city with over 1,000 years of pottery-making history. It was named "Yakushigama" because there was a Yakushi shrine at the place of its establishment.

It is generally believed that the right hand of the beckoning cat invites "money," the left hand invites "many people," and both hands invite "both" of these things. However, the Yakushigama beckoning cat is popular among many people because it is believed to invite "health and longevity" through the blessings of Yakushi regardless of which hand is raised.

Furthermore, all Yakushigama products undergo supervision by the Beckoning Cat Museum, and each one is meticulously handcrafted with care by skilled artisans.
