Bring the artistry of Japanese Kutani ware into your home with this porcelain vase by Fukuda Yoshinori (福田良則). Its elegant, tall column form is decorated with vivid tsubaki (Japanese camellia) flowers, delicate foliage, and a small bird. Fine painted lines and nuanced color give the nature-inspired motif its distinctive character.
Display it as a standalone Japanese ceramic art piece or with a few stems on a mantel, shelf, or entryway console. It makes a thoughtful gift for collectors of traditional Kutani porcelain and Japanese home decor.
Fukuda Yoshinori is known for delicate linework and thoughtful use of color in nature-inspired Kutani ware designs. His practice draws on traditional Kutani painting styles including Akae, Yoshidaya, and Ko-Kutani, and his work has been recognized in numerous art exhibitions.
